UNESCO APCEIU : Advanced Alumni Forum, Seoul, South Korea : 16 to 21 October, 2023 : Event

Sattva Director, Rajvi Trivedi received a wonderful opportunity to attend the online capacity building workshops conducted by APCEIU UNESCO in the year 2021 and based on her projects and work, she was invited to Seoul in the year 2023 for an Advanced Alumni Forum. She presented the work she did under her initiative at Sattva, including the workshops done for teachers and youth.

She shared her work on an international platform so that she could learn and make it more impactful with all the inputs. Her idea of creating an informal learning space and setting up a class in different spaces like cafes, parks, etc was also appreciated.

She also performed at the 8th International Conference on Global Citizenship Education conducted by APCEIU UNESCO. In her performance she presented the challenges faced by 21st century learners and how we can improve education systems to provide a space for learners that is empowering, inclusive and safe. She performed employing elements of Kathak and Storytelling and was appreciated for the performance.

At Seoul, Rajvi got a chance to interact with young changemakers from across the world and to learn from some amazing mentors. She received advanced training such that she can make more efforts in promoting global citizenship education. Rajvi says, “APCEIU has always been a supportive organisation and has always provided an inclusive space for learners. I am grateful to APCEIU for all the learning resources, the experiences and the opportunities. My journey would have been difficult without the support provided by APCEIU. The organisation inspires me constantly to do better. The Seoul experience was indeed transformative for me. It helped me improve my work, and walk on a challenging path with more confidence”.
